Dawn chorus recorded just before sunrise on a freezing cold april morning in the hampshire countryside, far away from any main roads. The only human noise is a couple of distant aircraft. Sd mixpre3 and rode svmx. 40hz low cut.

The first sunday of may is the international dawn chorus day! on the 3rd of may 2020, artists and field recordists in different parts of the world recorded the birdsong around the time of the local sunrise, and then the sounds were put together in a synchronous collage. The sounds you hear in the recording at the same time happened at the same time, but not necessarily in the same place: for example, you can hear owls calling in the spanish night at almost the same time as kookaburras in the australian day. Super heavy distortion with tons of reverb and delay. Total arena rock vibe with the lead guitar player taking the spotlight. Think evh and other guitar overlords throwing down the licks for all to hear.

Electric guitar, heavy distortion, heavy effects, slow type of riff. Trippy, hypnotic, repeating but changing.

Approx. 0650hrs, early march 2021. Put my recorder in the open bathroom window. I had to have the gain up higher than i wanted as the sparrows are down in the side garden about 30 yards away. The crow sounds closer, perhaps on our neighbour's roof. Collared doves also cooing but faint. The sound of our boiler is in the background.

Recording of loud frogs in a small pond out behind my house in massachusetts. As near as i can figure from other recordings i've heard, these are eastern grey tree frogs. Crickets are also audible in the background throughout the recording, as is some background traffic noise. A peeper or two make cameo appearances as well.

I've never heard so many frogs/peepers so deafeningly loud, persistent and oblivious to humans. I tried to record where the water was running but the animals drowned out the sound of the water. I live on a lake and this is what my back patio sounds like every night. They live in the branches of the weeping willow trees that dip down to the water. The sound starts with one frog, then a few join in, and soon there as a chorus of them on all ends of the lake in all tempos going at once. Then when a crescendo is reached, they all start to stop one by one until it's silent again. But the silence only lasts for minute, and then the cycle repeats. I don't know if it's some huge frog mating ritual, or family reunion.
